Have you ever struggled to find something to do on the weekend for you and your dog? Dogs Only Social Club is determined to create more of these opportunities.
Our mission is to create fun and inclusive experiences and connections for pet lovers, while supporting local LA businesses and creating awareness for animal welfare.
My name is Vanessa and I adopted my rescue dog Cotton in 2020. Originally from Australia, and new to LA, I often found myself trying to find dog-friendly restaurants and bars, and wishing there were more activities I could do with Cotton that would also help me connect and meet others.
Cotton (pictured) passed away in 2021 but continues to live on as the inspiration and mascot behind this community. Cotton was my fourth foster dog through Hollywood Huskies who rescued him from Bakersfield Animal Care Center. He quickly became a foster fail when I fell in love and adopted him. He was a chill five year old Great Pyrenees, loved going on adventures and became my best friend and only family in the US. Cotton's friendliness and infectious energy helped me meet so many people I otherwise wouldn't have, even through the thick of COVID.
Since Cotton's passing, I have been inspired to support the dog community and advocate for animal welfare. I continue to foster and volunteer with local rescues and have also become an official volunteer at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. My vision is to use Dogs Only Social Club to help support charitable initiatives and awareness of adoption, fostering and volunteer opportunities.
